Selling my old phone on ebay, all was going well, 8 people watching 15 mins left to go, came back 15 mins later to find that after four bids the price had gone to £820 and had been sold. Looked at the history and it seems someone bidded £800 then this idiot bid £820

What to do here, ive emailed ebay to inform them this has happened and emailed both bidders asking what the feck their playing at!?

Anyone else had any experience of this?

Tried doing a second chance offer?

you might be able to offer it to one of the losing bidders

Could be worse, a customer was telling me today he sold his phone on ebay the other day for £350, the guy paid for it using Paypal and asked if he could pick the phone up as he was local, he said yeah, the guy picked it up, then later that day he got an email of Paypal saying the payment had been rejected for fraudulent reasons

The other bidders bidded about £45 for a phone thats worth double, so I dont want to second chance it to them.

Im really annoyed with this, ive never had any trouble on ebay before.

best bit is, some other guy has sent me an email saying "U have been scamed 800pounds for nokia )) LOL"

greggy1980 is his name, so ive sent him a rather abusive responce! no need for it!!

right so as i understand it:

someone was winning your phone, an idiot bid £800 & an even bigger idiot bid £820?

so either:

A - he's put it to go up in £20 increments - his fault for being so stupid
or
B - he's bid £820 - his fault

They ruined the auction for no reason. It's not complicated.

Inform eBay, they'll refund your fees. Relist.

Ill relist it as soon as shebay get back to me!

One of the said bidders has bad feedback for the same reasons as what hes done to me?!
