Not Pelé's case though.

He played in the, back them, 3-time World Champion country, not in Eskimoland.

And all his goals are well-documented, so they are not even controversial, like say Friedenreich (his family claims he scored more goals than Pelé, but only 450 of his goals can be found in documents, official sources, newspapers, etc...).

Doesn't matter if it was a 3 times WC country or not. Scoring in Brazil always been easier than say scoring in Italy. Brazilians famous for not being able to defend and the keepers can't handle crosses either.

Not all of his goals are top flight ones as they include goals for Brazil, Copa Libertadores, etc...

Maybe our defenders never looked that good exactly because they had to play against such good strikers. :cool:
