Default Landis to be stripped of his TdF win

Quote:
Cyclist Floyd Landis looked destined to be stripped of his 2006 Tour de France victory after arbitrators on Thursday upheld results of a drug test indicating he used synthetic testosterone to fuel a spectacular comeback in renowned race.

The decision means Landis — who has strenuously and repeatedly denied using performance-enhancing drugs — must forfeit his Tour de France title and endure a two-year ban on competition, retroactive to Jan. 30, 2007.

The ruling, handed down nearly four months after a bizarre and bitterly fought hearing, leaves the American with one final way to possibly salvage his title - an appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

If Landis doesn't appeal, he'll be the first person in the 105-year history of the race to lose the title because of a doping offense.
He lost.

Ban cycling, problem solved.

Either that or legalize the crap they are taking, it's obvious these monkeys can't sit on a bike without it!

How can they still be this stupid? I mean, half of the cycling world (the tv part of it, at least) is serving doping bans, coming back from doping bans or accused of using some drugs!

Landis deserves it if you ask me. His story has changed that many times he's forgotten which his actual story is.

And clearly Icelander knows little about cycling.

Would be back for the Vuelta and worlds next year if he had just owned up.

Icelander - Doping is riff in most sports. From what I hear Tennis is the worst.

There is too much pressure for sponsorship.

Of course it is in almost every sport, thing is cyclists are getting caught in droves doing them! And of course I know almost nothing about this, it's not a bloody sport, unless they hand out medals for "longest time without getting caught doping"..

Cyclists are getting caught in droves because they have the most stringent testing.

Not a sport ffs. Yeah idiot, riding up three mountains a day on a 200+km stage isn't at all a test of endurance competing against other people.

Tool.
