I know some on here come from Sheffield, so I'm mainly looking at them for help here.

Despite the o2 coverage map showing that most of Sheffield has 'high' street coverage I'm getting a bad line with it when making calls.
Is this a usual thing for O2 customers and am I better changing to another network? And if so, which ones have better coverage.

Im currently on O2 and get high signal in most places in Sheffield. Dont know why your not.

I'm with Orange and don't have any problems getting a signal when i'm in Sheffield.

I was on O2 in Sheffield and had no problems at all, quite often i had coverage even if mates on different networks didn't

Hmm okay, thanks for the replies.

Was okay today when I made a call when I was out so maybe it's just in my room or something where there is a problem or it was just last night.

Same as everyone else really mate, sod all problem with O2.

I used to be on O2 but the signal would be up and down. I moved over to Orange and always had a good signal.

What's your postcode, excluding the last 2 characters?

If you let me know I can check Orange's coverage for your area including degraded sites and coverage holes whilst I'm at work.

Check t-mobile coverage online. If you don't get the results they claim, then you can send your phone back and cancel your contract within 14 days. Think Three have a similar thing on their website somewhere.
