I seem to remember reading somewhere that in the Colombian league 2 teams both colluded with their respective opponents to win the league. both teams were tied on points, so goal difference came into play.
The first team managed to win their game 88-0, however their joy at winning the league was short lived as their rival team managed an amazing 173-0.
With other results that day must have been the highest scoring day ever.
I'm far 100% certain on the above facts but im sure I read it in a Guiness Book of Records somewhere.

i remember reading that too. Think all four teams involved in those games got long suspensions, huge fines etc etc
