On Sunday, Gary returns with highlights of the day's games, plus a review of Saturday's action in Match of the Day 2 (2230 BST, BBC TWO/online).

Topping the bill is Chelsea's visit to Old Trafford to take on champions Manchester United.

The match will be Chelsea's first since the shock departure of former boss Jose Mourinho.

The teams drew 1-1 in this fixture last season, with Ricardo Carvalho cancelling Louis Saha's opener to give the Blues a vital point.

However, it wasn't enough to de-rail United in the final reckoning, as Sir Alex Ferguson's men wrestled the Premier League title from Chelsea's grasp.

Elsewhere, Aston Villa face Everton at Villa Park, Newcastle entertain West Ham while Bolton meet Tottenham at the Reebok Stadium.

Blackburn's match with Portsmouth rounds-off the day's action.

Gary? I havent seen a MOTD2 this season so why isnt it Chiles. I always found the show to be laid back and well presented with him.

i seem to prefer motd2 to 1 these days. The two alans annoy me a bit tbh, and motd is more laid back and fun
