Anyone with recent experience of doin' this? Where at, was it a good wage sorta thing.

Ie Postman, Shop work etc.

sorting at the post office - I did it at chrismtas for 2 years when I was a student and it was pretty good money.

I'd rather die than do a job like than now ofc.

My mate worked at the Spar on Christmas day. He got triple his hourly rate, so was on £20+ an hour.

Pretty much everywhere on the high street will be looking for Christmas staff, but it's places like currys, comet etc that will pay commission on what you sale, not sure about HMV.

Comet pay commission on what you sell over Xmas, not sure about HMV. Got offered christmas temp job at Comet couple of years back but never started as a longer term job offer came through the day before my induction.
