Once you know some basic input functions, DOSBox is straightfoward to use. Here are some I know:

mount c cfolder directory a\folder directory b\etc

c:

executable.exe

#1 is telling the application a specific directory location
#2 is specifying the drive to be used
#3 is specifying which executable file to be used

Its a good idea to show all extensions if you haven't already. Do this from any tools menu in a folder by clicking Tools > Folder Options > View Tab > Uncheck Hide Extensions For Known File Types.

Some other basic control features in DB include Ctrl+F12 to speed-up framecycles, Ctrl+F8 to increase frameskips, Ctrl+F11 to reduce framecycles.

www.eliteclub.co.uk has Frontier:Elite II and Frontier:Final Encounters available as Shareware - just got the former (I didn't bother with FE) running nicely on DOSBox

Now I'm off to Ridequat \o/

What a lovely thread

I'm the same really, the next gen games haven't really done it for me, apart from a few sports games and a few Wii games I just haven't got into any of them, Zelda is probably the only game i've completed in years

Bought a MegaDrive and Mega CD off ebay last week, was playing Road Rash II with the g/f the other night for over an hour on 2 player, its still the best 2 player game for me, up there with Mario Kart anyway

Was also playing Tom Cat Alley and remembering how rubbish I was at it, though I did discover that if you play the disk as a CD theres a track on there with some guy saying 'Gay Monkeys' really fast
