Thought it was a decent end to the series, apart from the last scene which just seemed stupid and totally unecessary imo.

The whole "brother" thing wasn't really surprised as you the episodes seemed to suggest that the Ice truck killer was family of Dexter.

I'm pretty sure that he really was Dex's dad and was not involved in the bloodbath that Dex's mother was in. He was probably also a druggie/dealer and possibly was in prison when it happened. He wasn't shown in the flashback at the house, the only flashback he was seen in was a brief one in a car.

Harry Morgan knew that he was alive and get him to give blood anonymously and gave the card to him because Dex knew that it was a normal thing to do.

I suspect that after seeing him in the container and knowing that he was "damaged" that Harry had nothing to do with Rudy/Brian.


Rudy/Brian must have known about him for sometime and only killed him and possibly faked his will to meet Dex face to face for a weekend.
