Went to Pittodrie one Sunday ( 6.05pm kick off ?) so obviously started drinking at 8am.
Much Buckfast, vodka, aftershock and sambuca later not a kick of the ball was remembered.
One guy i knew got in the kids gate despite being 20 and covered in his own vomit whilst reeking of drink

I can imagine drinking is a big part of the cameraderie of watching matches in pubs, but to do it at the match itself to the extent that you don't know what's going on is just pointless.

Personallt don't see mucb point ifn forking out for a ticket, then being so drunk I don;t remember what happened. That being said, I go down to Brighton every now and again and the group that go to the games treat the match as a sobering up period. And that's always been a good laugh.

I've fallen asleep several times at the game. Did it once while standing on the terrace
I usually find the match gets in the way of the drink

My first away trip was to Blackburn in the FA Cup and we took a half day form work and drove down. We were drinking cans of Stella all the way there, then went to some pub near the ground and spent the afternoon / evening drinking until we went to the match (8pm kick-off).
Sat in the ground feeling ill and popped to the toilet on two occasions with the intention of being sick but nothing was coming out. The game was a complete blur, but I do remember Hamann playing a 60-yard through ball to Saha to score the winner (happy days).
The drive home was supposed to be about 2½ hours but I added another hour onto the journey by being sick every 15mins. By the end of the journey I was just retching with no more left to come out.

Watching Wales away in Serbia is the only time I've been so plastered it probably wasn't worth going.
Had a couple of beers then got talking to these Serbs in a bar, they started standing us shots of the local firewater and it would have been frankly rude to refuse. Unfortunately they also offered us pig trotters in jelly.
Remember trying to sing the Serbian anthem loudly in the stadium and started sobering up once Earnshaw had missed a sitter. S4C were doing a documentary on Welsh away fans and I remember ranting into the camera about the stewardesses on JAT. No idea if that made the cut or not. Was taking photos of the riot police on the walk back to town. Can't understand why I didn't get my head battered off. I think the Serbs were just in a generally good mood because they had won and no black players had scored.
Was a great trip.

| That was Diamond White mixed with Castaway, hence the name.
