| Yeah, the camera people are terrible. Sort it out for 2010 south africa |

but yeah we should choose to bat 2nd, then chase down the total we need rather than the total for the win.
If Aus win but we reach the required total to qualify will it be at the expense of them or Zim? i.e who has the better NRR now?

Rocky surely it'd be half that, as if we lost by 72 runs our NRR would be -1.08, but Aus' would be +2.5.
So half it, and it's 36 runs which seems to be right to me. We lose by 36 and we'll drop to around 0.5, and Aus will climb to 0.5.

Yeah, Aus can't fail to go through with a win, their NRR is already better than Zim's.
Ours is 3.7 ahead of Zim's, making a 74 run difference over 20 overs.

I'm assuming the NRRs are added together and that they don't find an average NRR though.

ok. we have +2.5NRR. Zimbabwe have 0.11 - 2.5 = -2.39 NRR. 2.5 +2.39 = 4.89. 4.89 times 20 overs equals 97.8. so I reckon if we're chasing, we'll stay in the tournament if we lose by 97 or less runs.
anyone disagree?

then we really want to win, then we'll have one Super 8 win already, which'll be a big advantage, esp with Bangledesh being in the super 8s.
