Anyone have any experience of using these pain-relief instruments...?
Wife is now approaching 38 weeks and is considering hiring/buying one for when she goes into labour. Should I invest in one or buy a couple of extra bags of peas for the freezer..?
My wife preferred the comfort of kneeling down on the cold hard road outside the hospital in Milan for her pain relief. After that episode, everything else just happened so quickly.

Aye, the cheap versions from some chemists are not actually recommended for pregnant women...
My advice - at least have it out of the packet and figure out how it works before going to the hospital. Trying to read the instruction manual and figure out the red and black wires with the Mrs screaming and the midwife attempting to hold her down isn't fun.
Although in our defence, it was 34 weeks and we weren't exactly expecting labour at that point. Plus you're advised not to "practise" with them until at least 38 weeks as they can induce labour...
