Worst things that ever happened when I was an estate agent:

once, after a viewing, left the keys to a flat hanging in the outside of the door and drove off. never realised and the existing tenant got back to find the place unsecured.

once locked an existing tenant out of his house by double locking the door when he only had one of the two keys. he got back after hours with a flat phone battery, and basically had to walk the streets until the next day

oh, and I once let the wrong house altogether and nobody realised until the tenant turned up to move in.


most of the time it was OK though :o
