Pushing Daisies - Quirky, funny and surprisingly touching in places, this really impressed me. A bit worried it won't stand up well and may well get canned after a season, although I'm not sure why my gut is telling me this. The whole not being able to touch gimmick could get old fast, along with the obvious impossible love angle. Thought the narration was spot on though, the guy has a voice like liquid velvet.

Damages - Glenn Close at her bitchy ass kicking best in this rather fine looking legal drama/thriller. Ted Danson and Tate Donovan other familiar faces. It looks like it could be filled with twists and turns, and is certainly dark enough to have captured my attention, the stuff with the dog was especially good. Close's character could be a real draw for folks.

Pushing Daisies:
I loved it, it's cute and quirky and had a good balance between story and comedy. Liked the cast and I was surprised by how good the quick fire dialogue was.

I fear that perhaps it may be too quirky for a main stream audience. It's very similar to Dead Like Me and Wonderfalls and neither of those lasted very long, but this seems to have a load of hype so hopefully it will last.

Californication:
It was pretty much your run of the mill comedy, made better by the fact that it is on Showtime meaning that we get swearing. I really like Duchovny and the rest of the cast seemed pretty strong. Had a couple of decent laughs and the episode was fast paced, didn't bore me at all.

Oh and there was a horrible end scene with no dialogue as music played whilst it showed images of him and his family. Really don't need that sort of mellow drama in a comedy imo.

Aliens In America:
It was pretty decent, likable cast and had a few laughs. Will be watching it to see how it develops.

Will also be watching Reaper, Chuck and a couple of others at some point.

Pushing Daisies was great, my favourite so far. What everyone else said, funny, touching, compelling characters. The line "Bitch, I was in proximity!" had me crying.

Chuck was good as well. A bit similar to Reaper with the whole loser having something action-packed thrust upon him. Think I preferred it to Reaper.

Sarah Conner Chronicles was just what I'd expected, if you like the Terminztor films only without any real closure, then you'll love this. Not such a huge fan really, just the whole constant running from something that they can't hurt I can't see keeping me interested. Even with Summer Glau being amazing.

Having watched some more:

Californication:
Decent enough, Duchovny is good for the role IMO but the show is, like prong says, a pretty standard comedy. Except for the nudity. The story could turn old pretty fast though, so we'll have to see where they take things with it.

I'm gonna watch it, but it's not a must-see really.

Aliens in America:
Something just felt 'off' about parts of the pilot, but overall it was pretty good. Wasn't exactly hilarious though, more amusement than real laughs from me.

Gonna catch the first few episodes and see if it improves, as it certainly has potential, but if not I'll drop it.

Chuck:
I quite liked it, had a few laughs and the whole style of the show suits me, even if as Gav says it's not really anything groundbreaking. Oh, and every time the NSA guy (Adam Baldwin) was on screen, all I could think of was Jayne Cobb with that silly hat of his.

Watching this. Interested to see how it progresses.

The Sarah Connor chronicles:
I'm undecided about this. On the one hand I like Lena Headey and Summer Glau here, but I wasn't actually a fan of the Terminator movies, and I wasn't very drawn into the plot. But the time jump changes things somewhat, and they could go in different directions from here, so time will tell.

Again, gonna watch to see how it develops.

I think it was H.O.V.I who recommended Dexter, best thing to come out last season for me. So far i'm not digging some of the stuff thats coming out this season but i will at least give one or two a try to see if they grow on me.
