Another final episode, but this one isn’t remembered for the laughs. The final scene is one of the few moving moments form a TV show and one I’ll always remember. There’s something touching about knowing that so many men would have made these pushes in the war, knowing that they’d most likely die, but still going ahead. Don’t think I would have had the guts to do that. Fawlty Towers – The Germans
Perfect example of a timeless classic. No matter how many times I see this, I always crease up laughing when Basil does his impression. Would probably not be given the air time now. IT’S PC GONE MAD.
| Numbers one and two for me. Might throw in some Prisoner episodes after those two.

The final episode of the first season and I don’t think it will ever be topped. Jack gets told by Nina that the coastguard have found Kim’s dead body. The following scenes are simply awesome, as Jack first breaks down, filled with grief at the death of his daughter. He then wipes away the tears, loads up his weapons and goes going on a suicidal rampage. The scene where he stands off against Victor Drazen is another awesome moment.
After rescuing his daughter and killing the bad guys everything is fine, right? | came in here just to post that..the most complete episode i've ever seen. 2nd comes the episode in season 2 where Mason sacrificed himself- the most emotional episode of anything I've ever seen.
also in the Sopranos, Long Term Parking in Season 5- pretty much flawless.

One of the first few episodes of Heroes left me feeling almost exhausted when it had finished.
Having only seen each once, I can't remember which one it was!

Sopranos - Pine Barrens and Made in America
PB first for its great tension and humour. MIA for it possibly being the best TV show climax ever. The tension and suspense so riveting it makes you feel ill, especially if you've seen all the episodes and what you think might happen after such a long run).

So many Red Dwarf episodes could be mentioned.
Backwards, Justice, Polymorph, Meltdown, The Inquisitor, Quarantine to name just a handful.
Series 7 & 8 can gtf though.
