Been playing quite a few online games in my time and the one that kept me addicted the longest was Hattrick. I think I finally found one that can out-top it.
Free game with optional buy-ins which most people never use. Time for us to join, make an alliance and rule the game?!!
Trust me it's an addictive game... Need to log-in only once a day really but if you get involved in wars etc. you can kill a lot of time on it.
Anyhow, I have been playing for about a month so I would probably be the strongest nation. If we get enough OTFers to sign up, I can create an alliance of our own and sort details out.

Well it all depends on making your people happy. I would start with around 22%. That's what I was for the first week and since then have had it at 28% (max) as my people are happy with me...
The most important initial aspect is to sort out all your trades, and buy a harbour as soon as you can, to make another trade slot.
Marble and Gold. Very good resources, though it is irrelevant what you have, because if you obtain them through trading, you get the full benefit yourself.
