Yes, last year. Against Bristol City, I think. The player who did it was jailed iirc.
I don't do personal injury law, but my feeling is that Grays are just making themselves look stupid and uncooperative by saying so little, which can only go against them in the long run. Plus it's bad PR for them.
Surely they have to take major disciplinary action against a player breaking someone's jaw. You'd have thought it constituted gross misconduct, and is therefore sackable, though Dennis Wise may have something to say about that.
And not handing over the tapes is plain daft. I don't know whether it is standard policy to give your opponents a tape of the match afterwards when playing at home, but it would seem likely. Even if not, York will get one if they make a court application, so why make a bad situation worse?
