Rob1981's on thin ice as well, for not making it clear that Back To The Future 2 is still a great film despite some dodgy plotholes.

Oh BTTF2 is awesome. One of my favourite films ever.
But once Biff's given his younger self the book, he wouldn't be able to get the DeLorean back to Doc and Marty in 2015. He'd end up in the future of the other reality. </BLOCKQUOTE>
noooo beacause the point in time that he actually exited the past Biff hadn't started using the book. Therefore he entered and exited on a timeline that had already transpired (i.e the one from where he was from) which is different to the alternative timeline which carried on from when he left.
geeeez.. </BLOCKQUOTE>
I'm not having that. It's not the same timeline is it, not once young Biff's got in the car with the old dude and started driving about. </BLOCKQUOTE>
there's different timelines.
he exits the timeline before time (in the strictest, most real term) has transpired. The events that lead up to the alternative 1985 hadn't even begun when he left. That's why he was able to return to the future he came from.
You need to think of time in a 3 dimensional sense and not the linear bollox that Einstien spouted.
I'd draw you a picture but alas OTF is too limited.
