He waved at us as he was entering the tunnel at fulltime, that's about the only thing we could get out of him.

As for people saying it's easy to wind Rooney up, I think you will find it was the other way round. Telling them the scorethen telling them to be quiet at 2-0. Think he can claim he won that battle.

Also with regards to the Mikel thing, it wasn't his first bad tackle of the game & although he only caught Evra with 1 foot his studs were up. It was a bit of a lunge & although it was harsh getting sent of for that one tackle the ref probably had his previous couple in mind (one of which was on Evra not 5 minutes earlier).

That & he is also a twat but hey ho.

Read this on the Guardian website about appeals which i wasn't aware of, and effectively guaranteed it would be turned down.

Chelsea's case was not helped by the fact Fifa does not permit the downgrading of cards from red to yellow. To have succeeded in their appeal Chelsea would have had to prove that there should not have been any form of sanction taken against the player, and that in effect there had been a clear error by the referee.

exactly. I find he generally does well in his banter battles with fans.

usually arrogantly waves back to any derogatory chants, and then does so again when he scores against them

Whs.

As England captain nothing will happen to him.

I bare to think what would happen if C. Ronaldo did the same thing.
