What's missing, to me, is the point or meaning of it.

You should always start with or have a specific subject/meaning to your work. It's what gives it 'life'.

Look at your picture and think about it. \:] :B

It just doesn't do a thing for me, maybe too many effects. The half-tone pattern and sculpted green gradients seem too heavy. What mood are you trying to convey?

As Mark says, get it into your mind, where you want to direct the energy. Though, I have to admit doodling, has come up with some pretty neat results. But as a rule, start with an idea. B7

Seems to me like the green dotted side is too heavy. I like the detail on the bottom right corner, but it feels like you got lazy and just slapped the green poca dotties in there. It's distracting and hard to look at. Kinda makes me eyes hurt. [confused]

Hmm.. well, about the idea-thing, it's just that I can't come up with something.. If I do, then it never reaches my expectations from the beginning.. and besides, I just start with either a gradient or some clouds og some lens flares.. that's all.. I always have difficulties starting..

Red Rooster: The square-effect? You mean those dots? I created a mask above two lens flares and then rendered some clouds and used a filter in the picelate-catagory.. not too difficult..

P?trick> well, I want the focus to be on the green dots.. so.. that's the idea.. hehe.. I think they look kinda retro.. so..

TheKeeper> if you look at my other pics (www.kortlink.dk/rv6) you might see that I sometimes add some text to give the pics a deeper meaning.. but I need to be inspired.. so I know what to write.. in this case, I wasn't inspired.. however, I tried but couldn't come up with something
