Included in the hotel price of course. Plenty of other places to eat without paying over the odds.

I know there is someone on this board from Montreal. Just can't recall who...

Anyway I have narrowed it down to La Tour Centre-Ville, Chateau de l'Argoat, Hotel Omni Mont-Royal and Sandman Hotel Montreal.

Here Gaz don’t make the same mistake as me, Went a weekend trip and left it to the girls to find accommodation, granted they got it spot on with the secure parking but out of the brochure of the area with lots of fantastic looking converted farms with surrounding views etc we had to go with the one that when read was fine but showed the reception on the pictures.

They didn’t show it for no reason, inside was spotless and really nicely done but the area outside looked like a war zone and I woke up to a cargo train thundering past at just past five in the morning.

Didn’t have the heart when I got back home to say to the Family yeah I’ve just stayed in the worst hotel ever…….you live and learn, Mind the other room had a brick wall ten feet away and a old fridge as a view so we had it good in our room with the railway bridge….

have a good trip bud!

I decided to gamble and book blindly via hotwire and ended up with the Hyatt Regency for $80 pn which is apparently a 4 star hotel and around $100 less than the going rate

I can't remember what the real name of the place is, but there's a street there nicknamed 'sharah hamdan'. It gets it's name because for some bizarre reason Abu Dhabi seems to be the last stop before people leave for Montreal (and Canada in general), and they glibly named it after a street here.

Go round the Arab (mostly Iraqi) areas and you'll probably end up mingling with about eleventy billion friends of mine.
