I must agree with Daaaaave here, he seems to switch up between typical rap and more sensitive raps. Doesn't seem to be any different than the typical 'I came from the bottom to the top' that is all too prevalent in rap.
He does seem to spend a bit of time lambasting the gun/hustler culture which is a positive thing for such a big artist to do, but when this comes from a man who has arrogantly boasted for three albums about how he didn't need school, I hardly feel he is the best role model.
Sure he got lucky, but it's very rare that you do.

biggy didn't already take a look at that basically 10 years ago? I mean ffs...the backbone of rap used to be actually "keeping it real", i.e. talking about problems and doubts and pressures before nwa made it one long gangsta ****ing contest, then puffy and jay-z turned it into basically black reaganomics. </BLOCKQUOTE>new to me tbh.

Saw Eardrum mentioned - big, big fan, always come crawling back to it even though I'm more into other genres atm.
Graduation has done close to nothing for me, but I've not given it much chance due to the above.

The best thing on the album is the Daft Punk sample. Pretty weak all in all, but if it stops Fiddy being a big shÂ*it twat then kudos to Kanye
