I live in Croydon, so pretty much lose on all counts in this thread.
However, it has fantastic transport links to get away from the place, for either gigs in London or Brighton.

Portland has got to be the most self-congratulatory town in existence. It's not just Mr. Hoyt- everyone I've ever met from Portland has banged on endlessly about how great it is.

ATL so great, basically has Portland's cultural options with sunnier weather and a lot more to do.

And Wiki tells me Atlanta gets more rainfall inches than Portland does.
