Worth waiting a bit for the Christmas sales, that now start in November, reckon some TVs will get even cheaper.

10WATT speakers...not fab but one of the better on test... later on (or with the money you've saved, this is £599 inc vat!) you could just buy a dvd surround system for £200!
LG - My wife is dubious but I told her I thought they were ok? Was I right?

What Cesc said. Samsung by far the best brand for HD LCD TVs atm.

I've found LG to be an excellent make over the years.

Interesting. My wife told me to go to John Lewis too (hang on, you're not sleeping with her are you!). They have the quality and if they price match then its even better. Do you know if its a price match on www prices or just other retailers?

Made sense when you said you had £800 to spend on a TV, but if you have a wife, wow, lucky fella.
