I found another work around, seen as it asked me to update again tonight, this one works but does make the icon in the system tray look funny, but i don't look at this try this.
right click on msn icon and go to properties
go to compatibility.
then check off " run this program in compatibility mode for then select windows 2000 then hit apply , run msn and it signs in fine.

Yeah I needed to log on, really important, and it wouldn't f**king work. Was gutted.
So had to download this live messenger thingy and it didn't work first time ffs.
Thank God it downloaded eventually, needed it too, don't think it's too bad though.
