So why Ah crap? Well, I wasn't expecting to be offered it. After I moaned on another forum the other day about our weekends off (1 in 3) being cut at work, a guy I know sent me a Job Spec for a vacancy at his company.
The role is 'Developer Support' for a marketing firm.

Went for an interview today, and it's basically testing with a bit of systems (Upgrading machines etc) thrown in. It's £17.5k a year - a BIG step up from the £11.5 I'm on now - but it's in London, so I've got to take travel into account.
On my way home, I got a phone call, offering me the job.
On the Pru website there is a handy calculator for tax/NI - I'd take home £1150-ish a month, but then would have a £311 train season ticket a month to come out of that. They do offer interest free season ticket loans, which would reduce that figure to around £270 a month for an annual ticket, out of my wages.
I really don't know what to do - it's a massive step, to a job that really interests me, but if it all goes wrong...
go for it, sounds like from what your saying it's a chance to take a massive step in your career and what with the way the other comapny are cutting your weekends off I'd take the risk and go for it
Take it ffs, so much better than working in a DIY store. Should imagine if it's an half decent job as well you'll be able to relocate to London in some kind of flatshare or something.
