i'm just thinking for the future.
I've worked with quite a few IT clients that were seriously under skilled once they left a company they had been for a long time because of the lack of training. They found it near impossible to find another job and had to pay out for courses with their own money.
but I’m not an IT person so probably not qualified to comment on the particulars.
end of the day, if it seems like a dynamic company where you can see yourself progressing and developing over a longish period of time. Then go for it. The short term financial hardship will be well worth it in the long run.

| To be honest, that's one of the reasons I want out of Focus. Firstly, it's a crap job. I have gained a forklift license - company only, so I can't take it anywhere else - but that's about it. Secondly - the weekends issue - and thirdly, I really do not want to be a 'lifer' there - and at 23, this could be my last real chance to shift career into something that I could see myself doing for a long time.

Sounds pretty good to me. As someone who's moved into London from somewhere much further away than Sussex, I say do it.

| This is true, and there is also minimal opportunity for progression really - it's a dead end job.
The more I think about it, the more I don't know why I'm even considering not taking the job to be honest.

I hope this is not going to be old style DS here where you get every fecker's advice to take the job and then completely ignore it and decide to stay at Focus.
