One of my friends has one and everytime he turns it on there is some software that starts up automatically and he can't access the the phones menus or make calls.
Is there any way of reseting the phone or Ctrl+Alt+Del or an equivelent to be able to stop this program from running so it can be deleted?

Has he tried the reset button? He'll probably lose all of his data but that's a small price to pay I suppose.
My company use them for work when the guys are out on the field. It is prone to shut downs and all sorts of crap like that. a reset might work, then again, I don't use them so I wouldn't know
