and they're on the second page for a reason. short threads = more churn.

better than having to bypass the hollyoaks thread AND the coronation street thread AND all the rest of the dross each and every day.

basically everyone is turning into glenn here.

Oh, and don't long threads mean that the board is active and, hopefully, stopping bored posters thinking of starting some pointless shitty thread, which would really make the board static with mainly '+1', ' ' and 'youtube thread' being used as responses?

I say we ban everything and everyone unrelated to musical discussion and/or participation.

The long running threads do clog things up, yeah. Add to the fact that most of them are tedious (OTF Holocaust thread, any game thread) and that there's very few interesting threads being started you've got yourself a fairly crappy OTF at the moment. Close all threads once they reach ten pages imo, at least then the titles might be different and I wouldn't need to see "Manchester United thread - Home of the Champions" or "The F1:CE League: Season 2, with Juve4EVA winning and Rdysn5 crashing within sponsored by ahahahaha ul wesayaj" EVERY ****ING TIME I log on.

no. quite the opposite in fact. long threads filled with +1 merchants.
