| Yeah, all completely irrelevant to me, certainly not anything there that would encourage me to pay even a single penny more for. The only thing I care about is "Will it run".

| So old, it's been re-released as a budget game I think (Sure I read that in PC Gamer last month). In which case, £20 seems awful steep for a budget, re-released game....

And you can't judge the price of games from one retailer. Just look at the chart, most of them will be decided by Game and not chart sales.

I sort of hoped that someone would be able to categorically answer it one way or the other based on things they knew to be facts, ie they work in the industry, had read a reliable article about it etc.
Linking me to a game on a price comparison site really doesn't get me any further forward.

As games for windows means xbox live for the pc does that mean for FM 2008 you'll be able to play against people on the 360 ?

I'm addressing the issue that games that are branded "Games for Windows" are more expensive than games that aren't. The problem really is that Francis listed several differences that would make any possible difference worth paying for and you rejected it like you represent the whole market. I might think they are worth paying more for, or someone else might think the same. This is despite the fact I don't believe games marketed under this banner cost any more than those that aren't.
