According to the guy in work who covers hardware reviews, it's not. Corded mice generally have "a better dpi and polling rate", which he claims is important. He talked about curves, etc....... but he's a massive geek (he wears these weird wrist guard things while gaming, has a special keyboard, etc...) so I tend to just switch off once he starts one of his thirty minute talks on the benefits of something or other. </BLOCKQUOTE>
Of course wired mice are
technically faster - I'm talking about tangible differences that you can measure yourself (as opposed to using specialised software or relying upon manufacturers specifications). Sometimes people equate poor frame rates with mouse lag. There's a lot of factors to consider but you won't notice a difference between a logitech wireless and a wired variant I guarantee it. The 'myth' was perpetuated by the earlier wireless brands that were obviously very poor.
