So I'm installing GF on my laptop to amazingly play this for the first time.

I'll second that, brilliant game. A little dated now though mind, but still an absolute classic PC game.

Infuriating is one word for it. The game is just brilliant. Oozes class in it's voice work and overall plot - but the little minigames and puzzles really detract from the experience (and serve as annoyances).

I wanted to enjoy the game (and most certainly did) but the ****ing puzzles... gawd, it was sadistic. Grim Fandango is a game you enjoy for the dialogue.

Good luck playing it on XP though, the lift section in particular

I will echo everyone in saying Grim is an absolutely brilliant game. I've played through it lord knows how many times and never gotten bored yet.
