My family is quite weird:
Oldest brother 27, druggie, never had a solid job, possibly going to prison soon for fraud.
Next oldest 26 , never goes out, doesn't drink or smoke, has very little friend and spends most of his time watching TV.
My sister is 26 and is quite normal but after having two kids with her fiance she finds out he's 43 as opposed to 30 like he told her and has 3 kids from another marraige and another child from another relationsship
Then theres me 23, they all think I'm the weird one cause I have long hair and don't listen to dance music.
Then theres my scummy younger brother 21, would probably not be too bad if didn't listen to the oldest fella so much.
My dad lives in the states and is pretty much out of the picture.
My step dad is a stoner
My mom is normal

My older brother was always a bit of a weirdo. Only ever turned up when he wanted something (Normally to borrow money). Otherwise we'd go long periods without hearing from him. Was always single, getting drunk every day and gambling his money away in casinos and slot machines in pubs ("I'm a few quid up today" - Yeah, right. You're a ****in liar.). He kept a collection of air rifles in his house, one had a laser sight on it. Always seemed to be a bit of a loner.
He's about 17 years older than me so there's quite an age gap. Last time I saw him was on his 40th birthday in town for a few drinks. I gave him his present and we had a few drinks. Left on perfectly good terms but nobody has seen him since.
When we finally got concerned (It took a couple of months, as like I say above he often went long periods without speaking to anyone when he didn't need to borrow cash), my mum tried ringing him. Mobile was disconnected. So she went to where he worked. He'd left his job. So she went to where he lived. He'd sold his house and moved out with no forwarding address.
That was 7 years ago. We still haven't seen him since.
Our feeling was initially that if he has gone to these lengths not to be contacted, then would he really welcome us turning up on his doorstep saying "Hello!"? After all, my mother still lives at the same address, and I still have the same mobile number. It's not as if we're uncontactable. Now though the curiosity is starting to get the better of me, and my mum and dad (Who are getting on a bit now) are starting to worry that they may never see him again.
Could he be dead? Could he be in jail for murder or something? All possibilities have gone through our minds.
