in terms of freshness, realism (considering it's format) and originality, season 1 is still the best. back when you actually cared for the characters..i liked season 6 but i hope s7 goes back to what season 1 was all about.

The beauty of season 1 is that the first 12 episodes were commissioned first without knowing if it would bomb or not, so the first half (and the series in general) is very small scale and claustrophobic.

only bad bits in season 1 for me is mainly the "amensia" bit - although that's sort of cancelled out by the Bauer story happening at the same time :cool:

with what I've heard about the next season, it seems like they are looking to freshen things up, but I doubt they'd get anywhere like the originality of 1 - as much as the idea of real time had been used in some mediums, it was pretty much a new thing in TV and that's why the show was groundbreaking at that time

off topic slightly, but Kiefer was charged was drink driving the other day, and is facing jail time probably won't happen but um yeh, it takes a brave man to put Bauer in prison

i remember that, almost turned it off and stoppped watching, Reminded me iof futurama where everyone on all my circuits had amnesia.
