The only africans in the Arsenal academy at the moment hav been living in England since a very early age (10/11 years old or younger) And if they were ever to become worthy of an England call up they would play for England. Same with some other clubs (Nana Ofori comes first to mind).
I guess the question is it better for Arsenal/whoever to develop an African born player who would be eligible to play for England if they is good enough - or just develop local players |

what does a foreign chairman do that a 'proper english died in the wool fotoball fan chairman who's not at all looking after his own interests either as a brit-would-never-do-that-like-the-dirty-foreigners' wouldn't?
fwiw, villa's new foreign chairman is 54561321321 times more interested in what the fans think compared to his egotistical moronic english predecessor, invests loads of money in facilities, restoring pride, tradition into the club etc.
his predecssor put his own name on one of the stands ffs.

Before the clueless xenophobia takes over completely, can I just say that these comments are of an ECONOMICAL nature: Quote:
"What disturbs me, it is that a club lives above its means. The true danger today is that people who buy large clubs refinance their purchase by borrowing money, by putting the debt on the account of the club.
"Manchester United generates so much money which they can use to service their loan - but their example, reproduced on smaller scale, can be mortal. That is the greatest danger to English football today."
In an interview with France-Football magazine, Wenger said: "The money itself is not guilty. It is what people do with it that is bad. If the goal is to draw everyone upwards and make sure the players always earn more money, fine. But if that places us in an inflationary spiral, which leads to deficits and the collapse of clubs, it is catastrophic."
| Normally a good idea to post quotes before disussing them- although I'm sure plenty will see the words "Wenger" and "English" and swarm in frothing, as always.

rsene Wenger has admitted serious fears for the future of English football.
The Arsenal manager believes the domestic game in England is in danger of being severely damaged by mass media coverage and new club ownership.
Arsenal are themselves reported to be the takeover target of Russian billionaire Alisher Usmanov and Wenger insists the increasingly business orientated ownership of English clubs is another damaging factor.
"English football is losing his soul," Wenger told France Football. "Fans are the keeper of our football.
Danger
"But the first signs of danger are there to see. Stadiums are starting to empty, TV channels and radio stations are overcrowded with football.
"There is a kind of overdose looming.
"Suddenly the English model has gone from owner-supporters to owner-businessman.
"The danger wasn't there yesterday but it's there today. Of course you can have business integrated into the sport while still respecting the values of football.
"However perhaps it is time for people to worry." | |

Going to assume neither of you know what this is about, or don't speak English.

Well, yes, what we do have is an inflationary spiral. Despite all the billionaire's playthihng jibes aimed at Chelsea, many analysts believe his massive outlay could prove to be a very sound business investment.
Why is it a problem though? Apart from the fact that the **** do can wahtever he likes and sack our best ever manager.
