Prime example was England v Tonga last night. Think it was our first try and it was a close call whether it was a try or not. Tonga clearly think its not and go over to the ref. He tells them to go away and they do.
Would never happen in football

Rugby players in general will show a lot more respect, they won't abuse the referee, if he tells them to cut something out when he spots something, they'll usually do it. They don't answer back, they get on with things. For you to paint the picture of rugby you have above, to me shows a complete ignorance for the sport.
| and for people to pretend that rugby players are angels and use this as some sort of stick to beat football with is equally ignorant, if not more so

I noticed this at work a while ago, people were disappointed at the poor performances from England in the cricket and the rugby, but at the same time were surprised and a little disappointed in the good performance by the England football team.

| That gets on my fcuking tits. Rooney and Neville just stand there, don't say a thing. What's that all about? What harm is it going to make by singing the national anthem and showing some people your patriotic?

I'm sure I've heard that Neville doesn't sing for some political reason, Rooney probably can't remember the words.

why would anyone want to sing that ridiculous dirge anyway? using not singing it as some sort of proof that someone lacks patriotism is f**king moronic.

more importantly, what harm is there in not singing it if they don't want to? such an irrelevant thing to moan about.
probably why so many England fans go on about it.

i would have respect for footballers not singing the anthem if they were abstaining because they think the royalty should be abolished, but it's more likely that they just don't give a ****. or don't know the words.
and a good game of league is better than any game of union, but the good games are few and far between.
