Brooking is going on about how foreign influence on the Premier League is stopping English talent from coming through, so most people are suggesting that we bring in a rule that a team is not allowed to have, say, more than 5 foreign players in their team. IT WILL NOT WORK! Just look at cricket, they are only allowed to have 2 "overseas" players (and from next season just one) and the English team doesn't even stand a chance against the top teams!
What we should do, is that a club is not allowed to purchase more than 2 foreign players during a calender year, and each starting line up must have at least 6 (more than half) homegrown players.
