So this year I get what you civvy's would call a Christmas bonus. It's going to be £865 give or take a few pence.

How much is that after tax if I'm on the normal amount of tax, not higher rate?

Christmas bonus? Lucky bugger. Be lucky if I get a full weeks' wages for Christmas. *mutterance about strikes* I think though, it's 22% so you'll lose just under 1/4 of that. Expect circa £600-£650 and you won't be far wrong.

It's called a Special Priority Payment. Should've been £1k. It's a police thing.

Looks like I'll be getting my LCD/Plasma as a pressie for myself then.

i get 2 bonuses this year, and a 10% pay rise. Funnage!

I work in the public sector so not even a sniff of a bonus here.

Get a measily pay rise this month though :thup:

I get a bonus december too, only 30% of the yearly bonus though. The other 70% comes in May. Would rather it was the other way around.
