Default Raising the Minimum holiday entitlement?

So it has gone up from 20 to 24 days \o/.

However, being the sceptic that I am, I'm sure there is a catch.

And here it is, does this entitlement exclude Bank Holidays?

yes bank holidays are extra on top of annual leave

this has no effect to me as i already get 25.5 days off a year plus bank hols and a further 5 days rest day for shift working

around 60 days a year. \o/

being self employed > being a slave to someone else's dollar.

Mines gone up from 20 days to 28 to compensate for the fact I don't get any extra pay or time off for bank holidays.

lazy!? me!?

around 45 of those days aren't really by choice. from around the third week of december through to the end of january the entire industry seemingly just comes to a halt.

then i'll take another two weeks during the winter and take the family to the snow (or the tropics depending on how bad the snow season is).

it's a tough life, but what can ya do, eh?

There's a downside for Scatter though. He had to pay for his own Bob the Builder workbench and any increase in the price of crayons will leave him screwed.

27+8 for me, so not impacted by this change...funny how international rules are different. Feels like Americans for one get screwed by holidays.
