25 + bank hols for me, although i can carry forward up to 3 days a year if i wish.

Dutch law prevents companies putting those kinds of rules in place...so a couple of people I worked with have huuuuge numbers of days available to them. My most direct peer took at least 35 days this year and still has over 70 to potentially use in 08. Makes planning bloody difficult

In theory I should get 8 weeks in the summer, 3 at Christmas, 3 at Easter and then another 3 weeks half-term. This more than the state school system, but still less than international schools.

The reality is that I probably get a total of three and a half weeks out of all of that, such is the nature of the job.

I get 23 + 2 days (for length of service) = 8 bank holidays.

So as far as I'm concerned I'm owed an extra day onto my basic.

20 days plus Bank Holidays. And I have to take four days this year for Christmas.

Have been taking a few "sick" days as silent protest.
