that the parents shouldnt have left buying their sons present to the last minute </BLOCKQUOTE>Maybe they wanted to leave picking it up until the last possible minute so their son didn't come across it and spoil the surprise!
Personally, I understand stores closing a little earlier than what it says on the door. I wouldn't want to be working later than I'm paid to do and I'd never go to a store within 15 minutes of closing.
I suppose if, for whatever reason, I happened to turn up at that time.. I'd be pretty aggrieved too, though!

Tbf I've been to Gamestation before and never had a single problem.
I think it's unfair to say the whole retailer is crap when it was only one branch that you've had a problem with.

Poor lambs want to get off at 5.30 ? Change the sign ! Otherwise, the customer is always right, iirc.
Shop closes door at 5.30, and then the staff can finish up and go home. If they can't handle that, then they need to get a real job. | yeah, i think more staff should be willing to work unpaid extra time every day so that disorganised retards can browse for computer games </BLOCKQUOTE>
You work in the shop WCR went to, don't you ?
JK Galgreefe - spot on

This story reminds me of something similar.
I had to do some shopping at woolworths, but I had work, and no car, so I was going to use their home delivery service..
I rang up the store at lunchtime, asked them when the home delivery closed, they said 5:30.
It was friday, and we got off work a bit early at about 4:45, the shops not far, got there at 4:50 and get a trolley out, walk around the place, got about 70% done, at 5:05 they ring over the pa "attention shoppers, the home delivery service is closed".
Walked over to the counter, asked them if that was correct, said "You told me 5:30" (plus their poster thing which says 5:30) and got told "Yes, home delivery is closed".
I left the trolley at the counter and walked off |

i've no idea if gamestation pay people past closing, wouldn't be surprised either way. don't really care either, but i love the "omg how dare lowly paid people in shops not wait on me hand and foot" attitude some people have here

not had many probs with gamestation but surely its different than a supermarket. Picking up[ a game or two takes a few mins at the most whereas a weeks shop takes a lot longer
Only prob i had with gamestation was when they were trying to flog a 2nd hand copy of wii play with no remote for 32.99. Asked some bloke if that was correct and he said yes thats a correct price. Rip off merchants or cretins tbh

the customer is not always right.
the reason why the door says the close at 5.30 is because they close at 5.30. which means people currently in the shop have until 5.30. they can still stop people coming in wiht 10 mins to go so they can shut the shop on time.
shop closes door at 5.30 but they get 7 people that want to come in at 5.25 all shopping, it's a bugger to get them all out, so stop them coming in in the first place.
over times over time and it's not compulsory.
