did he ever acknowledge the sign that said 5.30 closing? I'd have made a point of making him at least look at it, so he'd then have to try and explain himself.

should have got there earlier . in all fairness they have a cut off point where they stop taking in new customers. it was the same wheni worked at somerfields although i can hardly call them a well run company.
anyway they don't want people coming in with 10 mins to go before shutting time and taking their time to do the shopping.
you can't very well chuck them out. so you stop tehm coming in in the first place.

Poor lambs want to get off at 5.30 ? Change the sign ! Otherwise, the customer is always right, iirc.

Shop closes door at 5.30, and then the staff can finish up and go home. If they can't handle that, then they need to get a real job.

reminds me of when we kept the store open an extra 30 mins just to sell a pc XD
