| Yes, and it made things a lot harder (and more realistic) for Brazil.
Did you ever play with Russia?

Didn't play Vicky much. Tried as the Swiss, the Belgians and Madagascar iirc, to get the hang of it. Got depressed when I saw how crap WW1 played out.

| Yes, WWI was poorly simulated.
How is the economic part of EUIII?
Also, how exactly does the population and the recruiting of soldiers work?
A thing I loved about Vicky is that if I fought a war and had too many casualties, it would really hurt you, while in other games wars don't really affect you that much.

No idea. Not tried EU3 yet, and I shan't until I'm bored with EU2 or some of the good mods get it together for EU3.

| My fav country in EU2 was Muscovy.
Venice, the Ottoman Empire (too easy to succeed though) and Castile were entertaining too.
I think I never tried exotic countries. I played with Serbia though in one of my first games, I conquered Albania but I couldn't turn them into a major power. |

Try Ethiopia. With them I've conquered Africa, India, the Middle East, Australia and large chunks of North and South America.
Muscovy is great. If you survive the early onslaught from Swedes, Lithuatians, Poles and the Horde you're onto a winner.

| I don't have the game installed at the moment.
As for Muscovy, surving all of them and turning into Russia was very entertaining. It was also great to expand eastwards, and fight wars against China.

Or taking half of Norway, then trying to conquer Canada.

| Haha, that's like my strategies when bored with MTW2. Start with Berbers, conquer Ireland, Crimea and Finland, expand from these three fronts... |
