If i was to get one paradox game, which one should it be?
IMO, Hearts of Iron II, with the expansion. I liked EU II a kit , loved CK and liked Vicky somewhat but never really made the effort to truly get into the game (It's one seriously complex game. All Paradox games are, but Vicky even more so).
Like Retro says, CK is more cult, it's not to everyone's liking. It's also not as polished as EU/HoI, although the expansion might have fixed that (Haven't had time to play it). The reason I picked HoI II over EU II is simply that for most people, WW2 is easier to get into than renaissance Europe.

Nah not really. Once you've played some Paradox games, the TW series just feels like a much simplified version of those games, albeit with cool 3D battles.
Lathund: The expansion for CK isn't out yet - it was supposed to be end of September but hasn't arrived. We're probably looking end of October - maybe.
Totally agree that TW loses it's depth once you play Paradox games. I loved the original MTW - but the new one didn't hold my attention for that long really.
But could you get anywhere with Brazil? One of the things I loved about EU2 was taking Ethiopia or someone to a top 5 world power, and in Vicky that just didn't seem possible. It always seemed to mirror history TOO closely to make much of a game of it.

It was very hard to get anywhere, and Brazil didn't receive as many immigrants as we did in real life.
Also, as Brazil had slavery until 1888, it prevented the country from developing more (as in real life).
