I saw White Stripes live a couple of years ago at a radio 1 weekend thing, up in Manchester.
It was a pretty intimate gig - big marquee, we were pretty close, and they were very good. I wasn't and am not a massive fan, but they really do have something special live. I'd be gutted if I had tickets for this.

I doubt this is due to poor ticket sales because over half of their dates were sold out according to seetickets (i think). The O2 Arena date definitely was.

Saw them at the 02 festival at the start of the summer with QOTSA, they headlined and were ****ing awesome. I'm sure poor ticket sales aren't to blame because they're one of the biggest bands out there atm, and with a new album out tickets would have been sold quite quickly I reckon.

She's finally realised she can't drum tbh. Will Champion next please.

Saw them at Leeds in June. Was never really a big fan but they were awesome live so picked up some albums and bought tickets to see them again in October.
Jack was the star of the show though. Meg’s nothing more than an average drummer. Would it be that bad to replace her with someone else? I know she’s half the act, but I personally wouldn’t gaf if she was replaced by someone else, whereas they couldn’t cope without Jack.

yes it would. Her style of drumming suits the way jack plays, and she seems to be able to predict jacks random changes of songs and where he goes off on one in live sets successfully. Also when they first played jack liked it because it was two extremes, his guitar playing and her child like drumming. Although obviously Jack is the main man it wouldnt be the white stripes without meg

i don't like megs drumming style. it's very workman like. there's no style to it. i don't expect loads of flourishes but she can at least look like she's putting the effort in instead of looking board while she randomly bangs the drum.
