I remember American Gladiators during my student days (early-mid 90's). Used to be on very early in the morning (about 1am) - sometimes used to tune in with housemates just to see a lass called 'Electra'. She was :cool:

Never watched much of the UK version, but that was back when Ulrika Jonsson hosting with John Fashanu. Didn't she end up getting boffed off one of the gladiators ?

Gladiators were great, hope it does come back. Saturdays are so rubbish TV wise.

I used to love the Wall! Class.

And the final thing, it always made me laugh when a contestant knackered themselves out just to get to the "Travelator", and then not make it as they faint and collapse, as the slow one behind strolled past their stricken body. Unlucky!

Watched International Gladiators earlier for some reason. Had some small Russian fella on it and the commentator kept making jokes about his height. When he was interviewed it had a translation despite his best efforts to speak English anyway

would probably watch it as there is usually nothing on a Saturday night

nothing will match Shadow's "hammer time" on Duel though, I know it was steriods but it was probably my favourite bit of the show :cool:
