Been talked about before on here, but it's always an interesting discussion to have. You you believe that people have a soul which is as much a part of them as their flesh and bones ?
Of course - this opens up the old arguement of life after death. Not everyone believes in that of course. You get those who believe that there is nothing but oblivion after death. I try to remain open minded about it, more perhaps that there is something afterwards.
Then of course you have the human soul - something which (if there is such a thing) perhaps sets us apart from other animals on this planet. Of course it could be that the soul is perhaps how to best describe being self aware/conscious of your own existence. Or could there be more to it than that ? It's not beyond the realms of possibility that the answer lies beyond human understanding at the present time. I believe in the human soul but whether it exists or not, I'm not so sure.
