Aren't Lyon just generally poor this season and not the force they were before and so this result doesn't quite merit the same adulation that it would've last season?
Come off it nobody gave Rangers a hope before kickoff. I know Lyon have lost some great players but don't take this achievment away from Rangers. They deserve this.

they have gradually gone worse due to selling big names and aren't as much of a force in europe
still the best side in france and it's an awesome result for rangers

They didn't look particularly clever tonight, but we surely deserve some credit for the result? It was a superb performance. Seem to remember nobody on here giving us a chance when the draw was made.
Yes i'm off to Barcelona tomorrow to see them play Atletico Madrid at the weekend. That should be total class. I'm gonna head off now and toast Walter, Ally and the rest of the boys with a nice cool beer!
