Well although I don't fast, I have before and fit the rest of your description. The fasting's mainly just for the good food and family thing at the end of the day. Test of will thing as well. Nothing to do with religion. </BLOCKQUOTE>

the spanish slaughtered muslims in the 15th century about the same time when they were discovering the americas. we only hear the good stuff, but they persectuted the moors and native spanish muslims out of iberia.

muslims had to hang pork out their windows and doors to show they ate pork, and residents had to open doors to show they didn't pray. only those who converted to Catholicism were spared, but then they were still suspected.
