Di's death was a pretty big thing to me at the time. I was young and impressionable and actually thought it meant something substantial.
9/11 because of the share magnitude of it all.
and obviously the London bombings. One of the trains hit was the very train I took to work. For the first time that week I came to work early, and therefore missed the bomb by about 5 minutes. Plus I was caught right in the middle of it. Never forget the sight of the Army swarming the streets of covent garden telling me to 'get back indoors sir'.

Those trains must have been huge, because just about everyone from London seems to have missed one which had a bomb on.

Was on the Underground when the bombs went off. Was ushered out of Chancery Lane station. Was a crazy afternoon getting home. Had to get to West bloody Kensington for work - almost impossible.

| You'd be surprised how many people cram onto London trains in the morning! |
